TMAC Clinical Specialists (CSs) serve as a value-added resource and extension of our Client’s Medical Affairs Departments, providing specific clinically-based activities targeted to local thought leaders and healthcare professionals requesting more evidenced-based consultations.
Similar to TMAC MSL teams, CS teams are comprised of healthcare professionals, the majority possess doctoral level degrees. Additionally, dependent on Client therapeutic area of focus and specialty, many of our CSs possess specific therapeutic experience enabling them to serve as credible, peer-to-peer field-based clinical experts.
CSs have quickly evolved and become an integral component of a company’s commercialization strategy as one of their core activities includes the reinforcement of their sales counterpart’s efforts by providing more in-depth clinical presentations. These consultative presentations may include data analyses allaying any perceived safety issues, expanded technical reviews of MOA, drug/drug interactions, dosing regimen reviews, etc.
In summary, the CSs, through greater use of clinical studies and evidence-based medicine, provide peer-to-peer interactions with a range of key stakeholders.
